Welcome.

The purpose of this site is to share pictures and information with my family, friends and fellow craftsmen.

The large thumbnails on this page are linked to a page of related photos.  Thereafter all thumbnails are linked to a larger picture or another page of pictures.  Use your “back” button to return. For an explanation of how the piece was made it will be necessary to find it in the Tutorials. If there isn’t a tutorial don’t hesitate to ask and I’ll try to add it or respond personally.

The picture quality varies considerably because many were taken for reference purposes and not intended for publication.  It is also difficult, for me, to capture all the visual qualities of glass, especially stained glass, in a digital image.

Why I do what I do, when I began and where I might be headed can be found in the Statement.

This site is not an attempt to market any of the work shown.  I do not market my work here or elsewhere. I make the objects for enjoyment, not profit.  Most of them are already in the collections of family and friends. Some were traded with other glass craftsmen and a couple were actually sold.  If you see something that you find especially interesting I encourage you to make one. If I haven’t described the process in a tutorial  please ask. If you would prefer to buy one I will accept commissions for trade or cash. I am not averse to selling. I have been buying and selling on eBay (Classof95) for many years.

Building this site is a new experience for me. I welcome comments and criticisms so I can improve it and learn how to do it better.  Please send email to me at: Hobbyist-Jim@cox.net   I also would like to hear from you if you have ideas for other subjects I might include.
